Great topic
Really great instructional that's covers clinch defense
A bad time for your opponent
In five years of bouncing at a variety of nightclubs, the clinch was my go-to fighting range. There's always a wall available close by, so you push your opponent into it, then unleash a barrage of knees, elbows, and, if necessary, the occasional headbutt. Now the approach to working the clinch shown here is obviously much more technically advanced than what I used since your opponent will be much more competent than what you are up against in a nightclub. I just wish I had access to this information way back in the day! It is very obvious to me that Matt Brown is very experienced and at ease in the clinch and has a comprehensive repertoire of techniques to use in the clinch in a MMA context. An excellent instructional, highly recommended.
