Edgars Skrivers’ professional fighting career within the MMA community started in 2010. Along with being a professional fighter, Skrivers is also currently an athlete entertainer at Combat Karate. He studied at the Latvian Academy of Sport Education where he got his bachelor’s degree in sports physiotherapy, strength and conditioning. Along with his degree, he spent an additional two years becoming a physical educator and coach. He has been a physiotherapist for the Hockey Club “Riga”, Tukums Karate Club, and the Latvian Karate Federation. On many occasions, Skrivers has also been an instructor for karate and kickboxing.

Edgars Skrivers has personally recounted his fights with Loong FC in 2015 where he was called in short notice. Skrivers recounts that he felt as if the fights were being catered to the local headliners. That night he was set to have three fights. The first was with an Iranian fighter who was a K-1/Sanda fighter. He submitted the kickboxer with an armbar within the first round. The next fight was with a local Chinese MMA fighter which he won with a karate kick that resulted in a KO. His last fight of the night was with Jun Hoe Jeong, a Korean mixed martial artist. Skrivers won the match with a leg kick and earned the Loong FC belt. He went from being a last minute substitute, to the champion of the night.

Out of the twenty fights Edgars Skrivers has participated in, he has only ever lost five. In Skrivers professional MMA career he has lost to:
